What is "The Furious Five"?

You may have heard us use the term, "The Furious Five," in posts on the web or in our literature, but you're not sure what the Furious Five is.

The Furious Five is the set of five groups that comes with the Free Demo Version of Inevitable: The Church, The Famous International Playboys, The Living Dead, The Mafia, and The Time Travelers.

Yes, the Free Demo version also comes with The Clone Police, which is a group – but they're not a group you can start the game with.  And, "The Furious Six," just doesn't have the same ring to it.  No, we're not going to change the phrase to, "The Sexy Six," either.

There isn't anything super-special about The Furious Five, other than their inclusion in the Free Demo set.  They're not necessarily the most powerful groups in the game, but they're not weak either.  Really, we selected them because their special powers are easy to grok and represent a pretty broad spectrum of the kinds of special powers in the game. The Church is a die-manipulator, The Famous International Playboys are an income group with a minor immunity, The Living Dead are a combat group with a major immunity/disadvantage.  The Mafia is a combat/income/immunity group, and The Time Travelers are a movement control group.
