New user questions but they're quality assurance so I'll put them here

I'm having troubles that are probably just me. . .

Maybe I just have the wrong computer (a Macbook using Safari) but I have to disable rich-text to be able to enter letters in the Body box at all.

And both times I posted I would have lost everything (everything!) if I hadn't saved before I tried to preview and lost the connection. Note: the third time (this very post) worked like a charm.

Also, I couldn't see the jpg of the game board - it just had a tiny blue square with a question mark in it.

And where do subscriptions subscribe to - my account? my email?

Feeling lost and like a complainer,
Dingus

Thanks for the heads-up!

Okay.  That's surprising.  I'm also using a MacBook and Safari, and I'm not experiencing this issue.  I noticed that the editor had stripped out all of the line breaks from your first post, and I think I have it set up so it won't do that any more. I'm sorry the text editor is being grumpy on your machine.   I'll work on recreating the "can't enter text in rich text mode" issue some more and see if I can figure out what's going on.

That could be your internet connection, but it may also be due to some of the changes I was just making on the back-end.  If future postings also work better for you, then I may have fixed stuff behind the scenes that was cranky.

Okay.  I was able to recreate that.  It's fixed now.

It'll send a notification to the email address you signed up with when the newsletter is updated. Apparently, it's also not formatting quoted text correctly either.  I'll have to get that working too.  =)

Thanks

Thanks for the quick response. The preview is working fine now - wait let me test it. . . yes, so far, so good.

I'm sorry for making work for you. I'm terribly ignorant about how things work (I'm old enough they didn't teach this stuff in school) but I know there are a lot of things that do go wrong on my end. My internet connection gets stuck a lot, for one thing. Stupid RoadRunner with their "we are aware of a problem in your area so don't try to reach an operator, as they will not know any more than this message said." On the bright side, the (RoadRunner) cable TV has been broken for two months now and we haven't missed it. More time for playing on the internet. (When it works.)

The board preview looks great now.

And I don't mind the poor/plain-text. If you can't express what you want with just lowercase and CAPITALS then you're trying too hard.

Switched to CKEditor. Does this help you?

I'm glad that you don't mind, but it bugs the heck out of me.  I've switched to a different WYSIWYG editor.  I hope that it will let you use rich text, etc.  If the issue persists, (or if it's fixed, for that matter) please reply to this thread and let me know.
