The Deck

I would like to see more use of the deck of cards. I can't explain this lust.
One idea would be a card called "Burn through the deck" or some such that has you dish out a mess of cards, or having and stop on squares that are otherwise non-eventful bring you a card (i am thinking of the "just visiting" part of jail or the like.

Lots of people share your sentiment. Since the time you wrote your post (assuming things have not changed), we added several opportunities to draw cards:
It may not sound like a lot, but it really has a notable increase on the # of cards you draw.
One of my favorite groups that isn't in the core set has a card-drawing special power: Once per turn, you may make a player draw a card. They've gone my the names The Discordians and The Masters of Chaos. It's amazing how many times people will pay (or even get into bidding wars) for the privilege to draw a card.
