The Final Friday Leak >> Everything

Now that the game has been released--seriously, you can order an actual physical copy of it, right over here--we aren't going to offer Friday Leaks anymore.  Once something's out there in the world, for sale, you can't really "leak" it anymore.

This page may eventually become an announcement blog or something, but until then, we wanted to thank you for your interest over the looong production period.  So we wanted to leave you with one final link, to the Free Demo Version.

The Free Demo Version contains updated and revised versions of everything we leaked since January: the nine segments of the board, 30 free FATE cards, six "starter" Groups, the Catalog, the money, and the rules.  The Standard PDF Version has more Groups and cards, and the Deluxe Version is, of course, a printed thing that comes in the mail instead of coming out of your printer.  It also looks awesome on a shelf.  But if you're not ready to take the plunge, go grab that Demo Version and get playing!

Leak No. 34 >> The Personal Data Form

OK.  At this point, you have nearly everything that you need to start playing Inevitable: rules, the entire board, some starter cards and groups, and the items from the Catalog.  (Some of it is old, out-of-date beta stuff, and next week we'll get you an updated version of, well, everything.)  The one thing you still need, though, is a way to keep score.  So, without further ado, here's a link to the Personal Data Form ("PDF.pdf").

For more on how to use it, see here.

Next week, we package everything into one easy download.... stay tuned.

Leaks No. 32 + 33: The Board, Parts Eight and Nine

in

Well, since the Leak-Bot was non-operational last Friday, we figured we'd better give out a double this time.

First we have the Mailbox Quadrant of the board...

...and then we have the board's crown jewel, the Center, featuring the fearsome visage of the game's prime nemesis, HappyCOM-9.  Comes complete with a little cowering human!

Click either to download the segment as a PDF.

Oh, and in case you didn't notice, we quietly leaked a fully browsable hyperlinked version of the rules last week. Which means you can begin to browse and learn. If you want to know what some of those trickier board squares do, we suggest beginning here.

The "Jail" quadrant.  If assembling the board at home, this goes directly "below" the previous two quadrants-- line up the "C" with the "C" on last week's segment.

Jail Quadrant

You'll note that we've adjusted the "city texture" in the background from light to dark to reduce some visual noise. We'll eventually change the last two leaks so that they all match one another.  Discontinuities sometimes happen sometimes when we share pre-release beta materials, but we offer an apology nevertheless.

Leak No. 26 >> The Board, Part Two

Things are pretty busy at the suitcase that's currently Dystopian Holdings HQ, but we didn't want to miss this week's Friday Leak. Here's a second chunk of the board:

Click for the PDF! If you're printing these for the Demo Board, line up the "B" in the upper-right corner of this section with the "B" in the lower-right corner of last week's Institute Quadrant.

Leak No. 25 >> The Board, Part One

in

OK.  We're still busy working on fulfilling our promise to release a "Demo Version," a fully-playable version of Inevitable that could be downloaded and printed from home.  We've already released thirty cards, so what's left? Still to come are the following:

  • updated/redesigned versions of five playable Groups
  • the board (in nine tiles)
  • the "Citizen's Manual" (a rulebook) and the "Glorious Progress!" supplement (a guide to the board)

Time to start unveiling pieces of the board! Here's the "Institute Quadrant":
